It’s my hero. I have to be absolutely head-over-heels in love with him in order for my story to go anywhere. Crawling inside of him is a necessity, otherwise, the words won’t come. This is true for all my stories. I don’t know why that is, but my hero is my muse.
Some writers fall in love with a town, and inspiration springs from there. Others find it in their heroines. How about you? What one thing sticks in your mind and won’t let go when you start a new opus? What enchants and inspires you? The hero? The heroine? A time period? Or how about a particular place or setting?
