Frostbustin'

It’s getting to be that time of year.

The bright lights of Christmas are but a dim memory now.  Gone the joyous clanging of New Years’ bells.  It’s starting to feel like blue skies, warm breezes, and greenery of any kind were just some sort of mass illusion here.

Today is the first of February.  And in some parts of the country a gray, insidious chill has taken hold of reality.

Yes, you guessed it.  That would be ’round my neck of the woods, lol.  I’m sure I’m feeling influenced by the single-digit temps, or the knee-deep snow that greeted me this morning when it took me one hour and forty-five minutes to drive sixteen miles to work.

So, I’m looking for warm thoughts from my friends—who, I’m just beginning to realize, all seem to live in warmer climates than I do.  Rather than think it’s some kind of conspiracy :poke:   I choose to believe it’s a circumstance that comes in handy, just for times like this.

Now, if you will, dear blog buddies, please share some of your most enjoyable warm-weather activities of late.  Help a sistah who isn’t feeling southern fried enough right now to believe summer will come again…
