After a very long, tiresome week, I can’t say I’m feeling very blog-creative.  No remarkable words of wisdom, no keen observations.

Just one small, personal note about something I’ve noted in my personal reading.

I know a lot of authors tend to use this method.  I know there are editors who recommend it for proposals, blurbs, and synopses.

But in all honesty?

If you tell me that your book is a cross between XXX’s latest paranormal and YYY’s top-selling suspense…

Guess what I’m going to read instead of your book?  Hmm?
