Out of all the gifts you received on December 25, 2012, which was your absolute favorite? A favorite could be something that has more sentimental value than anything else.  Something that brightened your entire day.  Something you REALLY wanted.  Or something you really needed.  Or just something that completely surprised you—in a good way.

Prior to December 25, 2012, I read all my eBooks on my Kindle Mac, which wasn’t bad, but computer screen reading kinda wears on the eyes a bit after a while.

But thanks to DH, my reading options have expanded tenfold. I now have the choice to read on my computer, go the traditional paperback route, or I can read with this! Squee!

MY FAVORITE CHRISTMAS PRESENT OF 2012

… so far.

Yeah, bayyyyby!  Now I don’t have to drive to the bookstore or wait on snail mail.  I can download books wherever and whenever I want.  In the house.  Outside the house.  Anywhere!   The best part?  I can read in bed at night without disturbing hubby because the Kindle pages are lit from within, so I don’t need a book light.  (I suspect this might have had something to do with his choice of gift, but who cares? It’s a win-win!)  I also don’t have to deal with putting my laptop away when I’m drowsy.  With just one poke of a button, I can shut it off and go to sleep.  And as long as I don’t keep the WiFi on, my battery lasts insanely long.
