Tough question. I’m kind of glad I was given up for adoption. I KNOW My life would have been different and not necessarily in a good way. (I know for a fact my bio mom married a much older man then divorced him and went on to have three kids w/ her current hubby). I wonder how accepted I would have been.

Also did not sell to the first pub who offered.

Otherwise I can’t think of a lot I’m glad the Universe *didn’t* give me LOL

It’s 10 to 7pm and I’m still at work, just took a break to eat the other half of my lunch sandwhich that I had no time to eat earlier. And, well, this job sucks in many and varied ways, but, I’m employed, making a pretty decent living, and in many ways the job ain’t so bad, so I give thanks for that.

Also thankful I was smart enough to kick several ‘heroes’ in my past to the curb. ‘No man is better than the wrong man’, is the only peice of advice my aunt ever gave me, and as far as advice goes, that one was a winnah all the way.

Also thankful for the rejections I’ve recieved on various manuscripts from agents/editors. In every case, looking back, I’m so glad I was *given the chance* to improve the work (current wip included).

*sigh* must get back to my reports another hour and I should be out of here.

ps. Belated Happy Thankgivings to all my friends south of the border.
