I watch a ton of TV, I mean my DVR has 40+ regular records alone and then I have all the dern Lifetime movies I ingest on a regular basis. Add to that a bajillion channels to choose from and there is never a loss to find something to watch. (Sure I know it is called the boob-tube and a brain-drain but it is escapism at its highest form. (Sometimes even holding a book is just too much—ever have those body-weary days?!?!)

With the kick-ass movies/TV you love to tell your friends about, you will also find a few that leave you scratching your heads as to why you wasted two-hours of your life. HOWEVER, I almost like these movies best…

Let me explain…

I was watching this movie the other day. A gal was in an explosion and wakes in a hospital many miles away—confused and almost certain her friend has died. She walks down the corridor of said hospital, her IV pole trailing in her wake. (This is where my eyebrows went down—really, she’s just gonna walk out of her room like that). Then at the nurses station she asks the gal at the desk where she is: state, city, location, anything. The nurse looks up at her and says not a damn word. Another comes from the back and says, “Oh you’re awake” WTF? No, “get back to your room”. No, “You shouldn’t be up, let me help you”. Nope nada. This new nurse sits down at the desk. Again W.T.F.

At this point I am looking around the living room wondering if anyone else is seeing how stupid this is—but alas, as I had control of the remote, I was alone.

What do they do next you ask… You’d think it would be to get this patient back to her room, but no. She does ask about her friend. It gets looked up and he’s not there—which means he died. She leans against her IV pole and starts bawling—for-freaking-ever. Does the nurse then take her back—NOPE. They start watching the news. Okay, yes I should have turned it off at this point, but I am a glutton—and I watch the entire movie. (I am sure you are now scratching your head too.) :nener:

But as I said, bad movies can be a good thing. My mind automatically flashes to: How I could/would do it different (oftentimes better). Yes, you can do this with books too (and I have), but movies are so condensed, time-wise as well as story-wise, it’s just boom there ya go. Truth-be-told everything, to me, is fodder for books. EVER-Y-THING. When you have things that shouldn’t or couldn’t happen, your mind makes note of what NOT to do. Even bad dialogue helps you keep yours from getting tired or stilted. :pow:

Hey, it works for me …
