I love when I’m *in the zone* writing. It totally energizes me and gives me a high. I’ve been tempted to have my revenge through writing but I haven’t yet. Although an A-hole landlord I had formed part of the basis (personality & name) for the boss of one of my heroines.

It can be cathartic, yes. I have used it for that.
Also for escapism from the mundane. The spirit soars.
And to shut the damn voices up (as much as possible, since I don’t write well enough or fast enough to suit them).

With this book, I think I zipped right through it (granted I glossed over a few details and came back to iron out, so I didn’t get bogged down).

Same here. My brain is ALWAYS in overdrive and I think that’s why I have so many open WIPs. I try to get as much down and before it can take the next story has popped up.

And you know, with all the crazy shit I’ve been writing the last few months, it just doesn’t come into play (wrongs real or perceived). I’m more likely to get ideas from TV than from someone pissing me off

Like you, writing allows me to twist reality the way I see fit. Revenge for a perceived wrong in real life is best served up with fiction.
