So it’s actually Friday and I have three blog topics swirling around in my head, demanding my attention as we head into the long weekend.  My weekend goal is to write 31 pages on two different wips.  However, my goal for the month of May was to simply write 100 pages.  That’s it.  I know to some authors, 100 pages in a month is nothing but to me, it’s the world.

Between Dec and January I cranked out a proposal and sent it to my agent.  That was about 50 pages–give or take.

February we had the flu.  And I had a new release.  I don’t think I wrote a word to be honest.

March hmmm no clue. I think i did a little writing and some plotting.

April…I vomited up 48 pages on a contemp ST and maybe another 20 on the ParaRom–though that might be exaggerating some on the PR since i also remember quite a few tears and lots of teeth gnashing and whining on twitter about it.

May…I’ve managed to crank out about 65 pages on the ParaRom (total is now at 89–end of week goal is page 100), plus the 7 page ending, and 31 pages on a novella I hope to sub to an e-pub.  I also edited the first two chapters of the ParaRom, wrote three blurbs for follow-up books, beat the synospis into submission, and wrote the openings for books two and four –and can I say book four is going to TOTALLY KICK ASS!! WOOT!! — and started a worldbulding bible with some of the mythology/background of my world.  Oh and I think I finally got the hang of this writing in third person thing :lmao:

Yes it’s been a very productive month and the majority of what I wrote is keeper-worthy (in other words, it’s not going to be deleted).  I wrote just over 10k words last week.  Not sure where it all came from but I”m not looking gift words in the mouth LOL.  And not to gloat or brag but, well, consider this me bragging.

The writing has been *such* a struggle the last year or so that it’s almost a relief.  At the same time, I’m kind of afraid it’ll go away as quickly as it came.

So it’s Friday and I’ve already hit my 100 page goal–plus 3.  I’ll be starting over on June 1 — I think I’ll do June with a counter on my blog sidebar this time.  Same goal–100 pages or 25k words.  Anyone care to join me?
