product-24in.jpgI’ve been coveting an iMac for a long time. A really long time. I’ve also started to covet an eReader…and an iPhone which could be an eReader!

Unfortunately….I decided that 2009 would be the year of the appliance instead of the year of the New Computer/New Gadgets *sighdroolsigh*

That said, I love geeky things like…well, like a boy. That said, the one thing that didn’t temp me was the new mini-pc’s. They’re so small!!! I already  have a laptop –with no internet so I get lots of typing done on it–when I write.  On the upside, the mini’s are fairly inexpensive and very portable. But so’s an AlphaSmart–which I also have and don’t use nearly enough. You see where this is going?

This weekend I went to a booksigning for my good friend and YA author, Rosemary Clement Moore (By the way go buy her books–they rock!) where I ran into Candy Havens, Nikki Duncan and Jax Cassidy. Both ladies had their…..mini-pc’s out. And Nikki kindly handed hers over for me to play with.  I *think* it was the Acer….they said shop at Amazon and that the manufacturer should be paying them commission LOL these come with a regular sized hard drive and memory, and wireless internet –they’re a fully functional computer. Just smaller. And you know….I’ve got a birthday coming up LOl
