Disconnect
I have mentioned the lack of writing on my end. It’s a different problem than you might imagine. The ideas are actually flowing–quite frequently really. It’s just, somewhere from my brain to my fingers there is a partial disconnect. I say partial, because I can mentally plot a couple of stories or sit down with hardcopy edits and work on a few pages at a time, but to open word . . . it’s like pulling teeth. I think in the last weekor so I have opened Word once–and as I told SJ and Mik, it was to save a shopping cart for Land’s End so I didn’t lose my fall selection. (priorities you know!!)
Maybe it’s the not-so-fall fall weather. Your mind wants to get in the pre-hibernate mode, but it’s been in the mid 90’s the last few weeks. Maybe it’s all the school activities that keeps my butt in the mini-van trekking this kid or that here and there. Dunno.
Do y’all have disconnects too? Or am I the only one lacking?????????????

LOL So… didja buy that stuff at Land’s End?
I’m not writing either. AT ALL. It’s sad.
Disconnects? Oh, yeah. Big time. But they start in my brain and leak into my fingers. Stuff reads choppy. My problem is an attention span issue. I’ve just got to get somewhere quiet and think. There are too many distractions, I guess. rasta
Sadly I have the same problem. I don’t know what it is. Heck I enjoy writing but it’s the initial keep butt in chair that’s a problem lately. Let’s just blame it in the weather. What I’ve found that helps, because I really think I have a bad case of OCD, is just sit in chair, take a couple of deep breaths then start daydreaming. Pretty soon my fingers just start typing. I’ve found music with lyrics doesn’t help so if I’m playing music it’s just music, or I have nature sounds..beach, water, wind…that seems to help too. Good luck!
Mik–not yet, I saved it so I could buy some other stuff first and ended up calling in the order cuz the ething i wanted wasn’t online yet . . .
She…–I TOTALLY know distractions. I need to turn my TV’s off and get moving!
Sandy S–I have other initials . . . ADD total ADD but I am getting better!
